Reflecting its position as one of the top firms for advertising and marketing law, Osborne Clarke has been selected by The
Marketing Society as the sole recommended provider of marketing and employment law advice to its members.
The Marketing Society is the UK's most influential body for senior marketing practitioners, with over 3000 individual members
across the UK. Osborne Clarke will provide legal services in conjunction with Tods Murray LLP in Scotland, and Hemscott Business
will be recommended providers of business information and company research.
The firm won the work partly through its marketinglaw website, which was launched six years ago and was Europe's first dedicated
online resource for advertising and marketing.
Stephen Groom, an advertising and marketing law partner at Osborne Clarke, comments: "The Society provides a very valuable
forum that is helping to raise the status of marketing within business, and its prominence within the industry is indisputable.
We're delighted to be working with a leading organisation to help champion marketing excellence, and acting as recommended
providers of legal advice to the society's members."
Fran Cassidy, Marketing Director at The Marketing Society, says: "The legal services provided by Osborne Clarke will be welcomed
by Society members. We are always looking to provide additional value for our members, and a legal service is one we have
been meaning to introduce for a while."
Cassidy continues: "Just as importantly, however, the firm will be helping to support one of the key elements in the Marketing
Manifesto we issued this year. This was to urge marketers to take more responsibility for the output of the profession, regarding
ethics, society and the environment. Osborne Clarke will be helping us to maintain and improve the professionalism of the
industry by providing a key plank in its support system."
